I Teach Hip Hop and Commercial dance as most people know as Street Dance. Within these styles there are many genres of dance which I like to break down the basics and help my students build confidence but also understand the foundations and history behind the styles. What I would do as your teacher is work with you on what you would like to learn and work on; then we build together on where you would like to be by the end of the sessions. I started off as a musical theatre student at Sylvia Young Theatre school in 2003 -2006, where i had done Street Dance, Street Jazz, Tap, Singing and acting. After I felt that I had completely benefited on my training there I had moved on to Zoonation Dance Company where I had trained with them for over 6 years. Learning Foundations in a nunber of styles such as Krumping,Locking, Popping, Breaking, Hip Hop, House, Waackin etc. When being amongst the company I had an opportunity to perform at Sadlers Wells Theatre based in Angel. Currently I am in Boy Blue Entertainment, I have been with this company since 2012 where I had really learnt more knowledge in to the hip hop community and the history behind the style. Also being apart of the company had allowed me to be apart of the Hip Hop Theatre movement that Kenrick Sandy had started with H2ography. With Boy Blue Entertainment I have been blessed to perform on the stage at the Barbican, Dalston Kingsland Square part of festivals and performing at the years anniversary of The London Olympics. Besides my background in Urban styles I have also been classically trained, I Performed at the Common wealth games in Glasgow 2014 with Rambert Youth and Performed with the Royal Ballet school when I was attending School at The BRIT School for Performing Arts and Technology. Teaching was one of the many elements that was apart of my Dance Degree in which I had graduated in 2017 with a 2.1 from Edge Hill University. I had been studying and using my degree to work within the Education, Community and within Homes for the elderly. We had also had the pleasure to work with children who do have disabilities and no matter who the person was everyone was able to take part in the lessons. Once I had graduated and moved back from University I had worked with Pineapple Community School which lead me on to teaching at The Rio Ferdinand Foundation. Ive taught with two different musical theatre Schools such as Razzamataz and Theatretrain. I teach all ages from 4 to Adults. When Working for Pineapple Community School and Rio Ferdinand Foundation all of my students were 18 and Under. If the children are under 5 I still teach classes the approach would be different in which you can contact for more details but I cater to whatever you would like as a client.
