Hatha means moviment, we can say that it is the physical moviment of the body, the branch of Yoga that focus on the physical wellbeing of the body that its achieved through Asana (Poses) practice. It is the mother of the majority asanas practice style's as : Ashtanga, Yengar, Bikram, Vinyasa, etc, this particular class is characterized by a focus on gentle asana with a few or any flow between poses. My Hatha Classes are open to all, with modifications in each poses to be adjusted to ones capabilities. usually hatha classes are gentle, but there may be classes that I can add little bit of vinyasa or take on tougher poses to be held for longer. The breath during asana practice creates a link between the body and the mind creating more flexibility and strength while minimizing the chance of injury. This well-rounded style balances and opens the body. You will learn to still the mind and be present in the moment.
