Elena Bliss

London

Elena teaches hot yoga, Ashtanga Vinyasa, Vinyasa flow, Rocket and Mandala flow. With a deeper understanding of the meaning of yoga, the science that lies behind asanas, the philosophy of the yogic practice, she discovered that when practised with the right approach, yoga can work magic, especially in the modern world, where people often live in mechanical patterns. "I like doing both dynamic sequences to tone and relaxing ones to melt, depending on the day and the students, music and good vibes present in both cases. I like my students to feel comfortable during the practice, so I put emphasis that each practice is personal, and invite students to connect to their inner self and listen to their body, for them to get the most of it." Elena completed a 200-hour teacher training in Ashtanga Vinyasa and Rocket Yoga, and further 100-hour training in Mandala flow and Shamanism, all with the amazing Yoga People - Jamie Clarke and Dulce Aguilar. She has also completed the Yin Yoga training, which she uses to compliment her other styles. Elena is accredited by The Yoga Alliance. She enjoys a full and varied teaching practice in London.

Yin yoga poses apply moderate stress to the connective tissues of the body—the tendons, fascia, and ligaments—with the aim of increasing circulation in the joints and improving flexibility. A more meditative approach to yoga, yin aims at cultivating aware...
